Welcome to a New Concept in Internet-based Education!

This is an open-entry/open-exit tutorial designed to teach you how to 'Think outside of the Box.'

Generally speaking, people learn new tasks in one of four ways.

  1. They read a text.

  2. They follow a manual.

  3. They watch a master at work.

  4. They study anecdotal clips and apply the lessons learned.

This software offers all four -- at the same time.

At any time you will have a choice of four options of learning how to 'think out of the box.'

  1. You can download the text off the web site.

  2. You can follow the manual step-by-step.

  3. You can try to outguess Detective Heinz Noonan on some of the most perplexing cases in American mystery history.

  4. Or you can go to GRANDPA'S WHISKERS and read a few hundred anecdotal clips of people 'thinking outside of the box.'

If you are taking this tutorial for your own education, your password will be valid for six months.

If you are taking this tutorial for credit, it is estimated that it will take you 90-contact hours to complete all parts of the web site.  That is the equivalent of six units of college credit.  It is recommended that you take an exam at the end of every block of 15 hours.  This will allow you to use your 'midterms' as a growing tool as well as a way of quantifying your increased knowledge.   (In other words, if you take a test after every 15 hours of study on the tutorial, you will be able to use each exam to help you do better on the next one.)

The text -- "MAKING A PAIR OF GLOVES," CREATIVE THINKING FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM -- can be downloaded from the link on the home page.  The rest of the tutorial is available on line by following the links.
