MAKE YOUR WEAKNESS A STRENGTH
There is an old adage that destiny favors the larger battalions. That's just a nice way of saying that the bigger the army you have, the more likely you are to win battles.
There is a great amount of truth in that adage; if you look back through history -- from 1945, selectively.
Actually, that adage should be adjusted to state that if both commanders are equally pigheaded, then the side with the larger battalions has the advantage. In a head-to-head battle, such as was standard on the European continent prior to the First World War, yes, big battalions were an advantage.
With the notable exception of the American Revolution.
And the War of 1812.
And the French and Indian War.
And the French Revolution.
And Toussaint L'Overture.
And the Greeks at Marathon and Salamis.
And Alexander the Great.
And Julius Caesar.
And Constantine.
